Obituary: Hiram M. White, 74, of Wallingford

He was the Vice President of Manufacturing for Pentron Corporation in Wallingford.

Hiram M. White, 74, of Wallingford, loving husband of Joan (Adams) White, died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York.

Hiram was born in Merrill, Maine, December 25, 1943, a son of the late Ernest White and Violet (Bragdon) White and had been a Wallingford resident for many years. He was the Vice President of Manufacturing for Pentron Corporation in Wallingford, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wallingford. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and for his love of family and friends.

In addition to his wife Joan, he is survived by his two daughters Wendy Perzanowski and her husband Michael of Wallingford and Dianna Burkle of Northford; his five grandchildren Melissa, Matthew, Angela Perzanowski, Christopher, and Adam Burkle; his siblings Ernest “Pete” (Linda) White of Missouri, Dolphine “Sissy” White of Symra Mills, ME, Ella Smith of Oakfield, ME, Virginia Tucker of Symra Mills, ME and Harris (Patricia) White of Oakfield, ME; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Donnis, Philip, Steven; and his sister Dorothy.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held from The Wallingford Funeral Home, Monday, April 30, at 9 a.m., when the funeral cortege will proceed to First United Methodist Church of Wallingford, 941 Old Rock Hill Road, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford.
