Obituary: James D. Coughlin, 84, of Wallingford
James was a Vice President at United Electric Supply and later worked as an Outside Salesman at Electrical Wholesalers until his retirement.

James D. Coughlin, 84, of Wallingford, died peacefully at Yale New Haven Hospital on Sunday, January 6, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Ann (Malavasi) Coughlin.
James was born in New Haven on December 1, 1934, a son of the late James and Beatrice (Stowe) Coughlin and was an U.S. Army Veteran. James was a Vice President at United Electric Supply and later worked as an Outside Salesman at Electrical Wholesalers until his retirement in 2004. During his career he was the recipient of many awards for outstanding sales accomplishments. He was an avid fan of the N.Y. Yankees and UConn Women's Basketball teams, and enjoyed golfing and bowling. He and his son bowled on the same team for 28 years!

In addition to his wife Patricia, he is survived by his children, James S. Coughlin and his wife Kathleen, and Paula Dringoli and her husband Douglas; his grandchildren, Daniel Dringoli, and Jessica and Lauren Coughlin; his sister, Jane (Mrs. Thomas) Dunn; and many nieces and nephews.
