Jeffrey A. Schlick, 62, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 5, 2019 after a valiant 17-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the beloved husband for 24 years of Robin Lynn (Cortelyou) Schlick and adored father of daughters Sarah and Katie Schlick.
Jeff was born in Bayshore, N.Y., a son of Mildred (Fring) Schlick and the late Edwin Schlick, and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 39 years as a hardworking electronic technician. He will be forever remembered for the extraordinary kindness, gentleness, and warmth of his heart. A proud dad of two Yalies, his love for his family was endless, and his daughters will cherish the dreams he instilled within them. Nothing brought Jeff more joy than watching his younger daughter play the clarinet in Sheehan High School’s marching band and assisting the band behind the scenes. He loved golfing, working on projects around his home, growing tomatoes in his garden, and sleeping in on rainy mornings, but most of all he loved being a husband, father, and friend.
