Obituary: Joan G. Piper, 81, of Wallingford

She spent over three decades working as a CNA for the Masonic Home and Hospital. She was also the co-owner of the Piper Tree Farm.

Joan G. Piper, 81, of Wallingford, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019. She was the wife of the late David W. Piper.

She was born in Meriden, Connecticut, June 6, 1937, the daughter of the late Jock and Regina Gardner. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Joan was a lifetime resident of Wallingford. She spent over three decades working as a CNA for the Masonic Home and Hospital. Prior to that she worked as an administrative assistant for the State of Connecticut Agricultural Department. She was also the co-owner of the Piper Tree Farm from 1973 to 2009.

Joan is survived by her son William C. Piper and his wife Susan and her son Kyle D. Piper and his wife Antonella. She is also survived by her grandchildren Elise, David, Billy and Braeden. She is also survived by her sisters Noma Beaumont (Robert) and Roberta Spiegel and several nieces and nephews.
