Obituary: A. John Fritz Jr., 61; Formerly Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): A. John Fritz Jr., 61, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Wallingford, CT died unexpectedly January 2, 2023.

John was born in Meriden, December 20, 1961, a son of Shirley (Clark) Fritz of Wallingford and the late Dr. Andrew J. Fritz.

In addition to his mother Shirley, he is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Fritz-Keyes and Christopher Keyes of Sutton, MA; his nephews, Owen and James Keyes. He was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen Clark Fritz.

John grew up in Wallingford and graduated from Lyman Hall High School in 1980. He worked in the construction field his whole life. He was a resident of Florida, where he enjoyed the beaches, music, and was an avid follower of the Grateful Dead.

Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to The John J. Nerden RTC Camp, P.O. Box 2617, Meriden, CT. 06450. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Wallingford.
