Obituary: John J. D’Andrea, 82, Of Wallingford
A U.S. Army veteran, he worked as a gunsmith for over 30 years at Marlin Firearms in North Haven until his retirement.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): John J. D’Andrea, 82, of Wallingford, loving husband of the late Marilyn C. D’Andrea, passed away peacefully at home on Monday May 1, 2023.
John was born in New Haven, July 20, 1940, a son of the late Joseph and Emanuelle “Molly” (Parisi) D’Andrea and had been a Wallingford resident for many years.
John proudly served in the U.S. Army and worked as a barber while stationed in Germany. He went on to work as a gunsmith for over 30 years at Marlin Firearms in North Haven until his retirement. He was a man with a hard work ethic and was never without a second job.

John enjoyed staying active and could often be found outside tending to his yard, browsing at the Redwood Flea Market or at Dunkin with his son and friends.
He is survived by his three children, Diane D’Andrea and her longtime partner James Massaro of West Haven, Jessica Holloway and her husband Brian of Wallingford and John D’Andrea of Wallingford; his beloved grandchildren Ryder and Ty Holloway; his sister-in-law, Carolyn D’Andrea of North Haven, Diane Andrade and her husband Kenneth of Orange; his brother-in-law, Raymond Ciarleglio and his wife Marilyn of North Haven; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Marie DeFelice; and his brother, Domenic D’Andrea.
