Obituary: John Paul Scavone, 79, Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): John Paul Scavone, 79, of Wallingford, loving husband of Jean (Bombria) Scavone for 52 years, passed away August 24, 2023 at Regency House.

John was born in New Haven on November 5, 1943, a son of the late Frank Scavone and Fina Scavone.

John graduated from Lyman Hall High School and Central Connecticut State University. John served in the United States Army and worked for UPS in North Haven for over 32 years. He loved to travel and vacation with his wife. He enjoyed rollerblading and bike riding and took pride in his home and loved being with family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Jean, he is survived by his sisters, Liz Glessner and her husband, Philip and Catherine Scavone; his brother, Steve Scavone and his wife, Diane; His brothers-in-law, James Bombria and his wife, Colleen, Thomas Bombria and David Bombria and his wife, Lisa; many nieces and nephews; and his special friends and cousins, Linda and Skip Adams, Jake Rich; and his step-mother, Betty Scavone. He was predeceased by his sons, Joseph and James Scavone.
