Obituary: June Ellen Main, 61, Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): June Ellen Main, 61, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully in Marlborough at the home of her son, surrounded by her family after a courageous fight against cancer. June was born in Milford on June 13, 1962, a daughter of Gertrude (Schmutz) Main of Southington and the late Arthur Main.

June was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. She dedicated her life to her sons, working hard to provide for them independently.

June was kind, fun-loving, and quick to laugh. She found great joy in simple everyday moments, but especially in spending time with her family. She sang along to every song she heard on the radio. She loved the sun in her hair and sand between her toes. She remained loving and optimistic throughout her life, even in the final days of her illness.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her four sons, Joseph Pyne and his wife, Jessie, of Medway, MA, Joshua Pyne and his wife, Carol, of East Berlin, Matthew Pyne of Abington, MA and David Pyne and his wife, Megan, of Marlborough; her four grandchildren Erin, Joey, Isla & Josie; her partner, Ed McAnneny of Wallingford; her sisters Beverly Turner and Virginia Byrd; her brothers Alan Main and Gary Main.

June’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, on Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Her funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
