Obituary: Kathleen Mary Herlihy, 57, Of Wallingford
Kathy dedicated her life to her family & others, whether that was raising her children, adopting dogs, or serving on the board of charities.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Kathleen Mary Herlihy (Princiotta), 57, passed away on April 9, 2023, at her home in Wallingford, CT surrounded by family and friends. Kathy was born on May 15, 1965, to Jean and Joe Princiotta in The Bronx, New York, NY and grew up in Walden, NY. She met her husband Jim at their alma mater, SUNY Plattsburgh.
Kathy dedicated her life to her family and others, whether that was raising her children, adopting dogs, serving on the board of charities, or being willing to help out any of her many friends at a moment’s notice.
Kathy loved music, especially musicals on Broadway. In her life, she gave vocal and piano lessons, directed musicals, and was the lead singer in a band. She passed her love of music on to her children, mostly through singing at the top of their lungs on road trips.

Kathy was a board member of the Sleeping Giant Build of Habitat for Humanity since 2017.
She is survived by her husband Jim, her children Kiley and Dan, her sister Pat, and many beloved aunts & uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to thank the entire team at Yale’s Smilow Cancer Center for their support of Kathy over the past several years.
The family will receive family and friends at the Wallingford Funeral Home at 809 N. Main St. Ext. from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, June 17. A memorial service will be held at noon in the funeral home, by Reverend Father Kingsley Ihejirika.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Sleeping Giant Build of Habitat for Humanity (https://sleepinggiantbuild.org) or the Breast Cancer Program Fund at Yale New Haven Hospital.
