Obituary: Laura Pellegrini, 73, Of Wallingford
Laura was a true professional at her job of bookkeeping. She worked part-time while her son was growing & then full time at I.P.I Insurance.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home): Laura Pellegrini, 73, of Wallingford, died July 11 at home with her family by her side. Born in New Haven, daughter of the late Thomas & Helen Ciak Butler, Laura was a loving wife and Mother.
She took care of her husband Fred every way possible, with gifts at the holidays or a special meal for his birthday. She loved her son Anthony more than anyone and made sure he was well taken care of, from new soccer cleats every year to his rented Mustang for the senior prom. She attended all his sports games from start to senior year in high school.
Laura was a true professional at her job of bookkeeping. She worked part time while her son was growing and then full time at I.P.I Insurance until her retirement in 2018. She made many friends at work and was always optimistic about life after retirement.

Laura loved animals, always having a dog or cat at home. She enjoyed warm weather, the beach, and winter vacations to the Caribbean or Mexico.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son Anthony (Jessica) Pellegrini of Cheshire, brothers; T.R (Cathy) Butler of Canada and Carl (Barbara) Butler of N.Y, sisters; Nancy Marotta of Cheshire, Marcia(Robert) Futterlieb of Bristol, and Susan (Ronald) Brasile of Hamden. Laura was a loving grandma to her 3 grandchildren: Jake, Christopher & Benjamin. She was predeceased by a sister Maria Vegliante. Calling hours will be held SUNDAY from 2 - 5 p.m. in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Friends & family are asked to go directly to Beaverdale Memorial Park Monday at 11:30 am for a graveside service.
