Obituary: Linda J. Dest, 67 Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Linda J. Dest, 67 of Wallingford, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 6, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Donald D. and Doris (Venturella) Dest.

She graduated from Hamden Hall Country Day School and completed two years of study at Emerson College in Boston. Linda fully enjoyed the arts; she loved music from the 60’s, she played guitar and wrote her own songs. She also created her own artwork and wrote poems. Anyone who knew Linda knew she loved those old Columbo and I love Lucy videos! We will miss hearing her tell corny jokes. The voices are gone, she may now rest in peace.

She is survived by her sister, Gloria Griffiths and her husband, Peter Allam; her brother, D. Dean Dest; her niece, Robin Cassidy; her nephew, Matthew Griffiths; and numerous extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Paige Burr Dest.

Interment will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park, 90 Pine Rock Avenue, New Haven. Services are currently being planned and will be announced soon.
