Obituary: Lindsay Leigh Amenta, 45, Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Lindsay Leigh Amenta, 45, beloved wife of John Amenta, of Wallingford, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023 in her home, following a long courageous cancer journey. Born in Meriden on October 10, 1978, she was the daughter of Robert Francis and Robin (Church) Blank.

In addition to her husband, John, Lindsay is survived by her mother and stepfather, Robin and Darrell Blank of Middletown; her father, Robert Francis of Wallingford; her sister, Bonnie Francis of Wallingford; her lifelong best friend, Jessica Gontarz-Durfee of Wallingford; several nieces and nephews; her in-laws, John and Lynda Amenta of Middletown; her cherished dogs, Indiana and Mr. Eko; and numerous extended family members as well as many cherished friends.

A celebration of Lindsay’s life will be held on Monday, October 23, at 5 pm, at the Yalesville United Methodist Church, 8 New Pl., in the Yalesville section of Wallingford with a reception to follow.

All guests are invited to come as they are and bring their favorite stories and memories of Lindsay to share.
