Obituary: Louis Pluff, 79, Of Yalesville

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Louis Pluff, 79, of Yalesville, loving husband of Valerie (Zemke) Pluff, passed away unexpectedly March 5, 2023 at his home. Louis was born in New Haven on January 22, 1944, a son of the late Joseph and Caroline (Ponzillo) Pluff. He was an Air Force Veteran, serving in Greenland.

Lou worked over 25 years at Plasmed Inc. of Wallingford, before co-creating his own custom woodworking business, Bob-A-Lou in Meriden, CT. For the last few years, he worked at Power Controls INC in Wallingford.

In addition to his wife, Valerie, he is survived by his daughters, Amber Ferreira and her husband, Alfred, of Meriden and Fawn Pluff of Newington; his stepsons, Thomas Knowlton of Meriden and Jason Knowlton and his wife, Catherine of Wallingford; his brother, Joseph Pluff; his grandchildren, Zachary and Kendall Ferreira and Joshua and Jeremy Salgado and his many nieces and nephews.

Louis’ family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be at St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
