Obituary: Luciana Silva Aguiar, 63; Formerly Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Luciana Silva Aguiar, 63, of New Bedford, MA, formerly of Wallingford, died Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

She was born in Praia da Vitoria, Terceira Azores, February 26, 1959, a daughter of the late Maria Herculana DaSilva and Agostinho Borges Aguiar. She enjoyed her taking trips to the casino and bus trips, going to tag sales and flea markets, music and dancing, crocheting, but most of all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends.

Luciana is survived by her son, Joseph Pereira and his wife Kimberly Pereira; her daughter, Stephanie Pereira Coppola and her husband Christopher Coppola; her granddaughters, Mya Marie Pereira and Ciana Tina Coppola; her siblings, Lisete Aguiar Hermenegildo and Oraina Freitas Torres; her significant other, Renato Da Costa; and many nieces and nephews. Luciana was predeceased by her siblings, Jose Adriano da Silva Aguiar, Agostinho da Silva Aguiar and Luciano da Silva Aguiar.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service St. John Cemetery, Christian St., Wallingford on Monday, Oct. 10, at 11 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home.
