Obituary: Lucille Tierney, 80, Of Wallingford
Lucille had bookkeeping jobs over the years, but excelled at being a stay-at-home mom.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (Contributed): It is with great sadness that we share that Lucille Tierney, 80, passed away peacefully with her loved ones around her on December 15 at Midstate Hospital, after battling several chronic illnesses.
Lucille was born in Gloversville, New York on February 13, 1942, the only child of Rose Ferrara and Joseph Christiano. Lucille grew up in Gloversville, New York, surrounded by her fun, large and loving family. She graduated from Gloversville High School.
Lucille had bookkeeping jobs over the years but excelled at being a stay-at-home mom. Lucille also lived in Las Vegas, Nevada and then moved to Worcester, Massachusetts. This move was dedicated to providing her oldest daughter with the best treatment for her childhood cancer.

To be closer to her first grandchild, Lucille moved to Wallingford and has lived here for the past 21 years. The last 13 years were spent with her daughter, son in law and 4 grandchildren in their shared home.
Lucille is survived by her loving daughters, Kristin and son in law, Robert Baltramaitis of Wallingford and Joelle and son in law, Peter Starefos of Alabama. Lucille loved being a grandmother and will be missed greatly by her four cherished grandchildren, Noah, Brynn, Addison and Emerson Baltramaitis. She enjoyed watching her shows and the family pet ducks in the yard, crafting, shopping at HomeGoods, decorating and above all her family.

Her true joy was caring for her grandchildren as babies and then watching them grow.
We would like to thank the hospice team and the amazing nurses and care workers who assisted Lucille in the last week of her life at Midstate Medical Center.
Her life will be celebrated in a private family service.
Memorial contributions in Lucille’s honor may be made to the Wallingford Animal Shelter.
