Obituary: Lucy A. (Altieri) Rusczek, 90, Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Lucy A. (Altieri) Rusczek, peacefully entered into eternal rest on January 19, 2023. Lucy was born in Bridgeport, CT on October 7, 1932, to Fred and Mary Altieri, moving to Wallingford, CT during her childhood where she eventually met her soulmate, Adwin J. “Inky” Rusczek Sr.

Lucy was a social butterfly and loved being a member of the Red Hat Ladies Society, Past President of the Junior Womens Club, the Trinity Ladies Club, the Senior Center, and various other social organizations. Lucy loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially the tradition of making homemade pasta for Christmas Day.

Lucy was the adoring mother of her surviving children Mary L. and Robert Naccarato and Adwin J. Rusczek Jr. and Jo-Anne Rusczek.

She is survived by her four grandchildren, all of whom are her “favorite,” Brandon J. Rusczek and his fiancé Amanda Wagner, Bethany M. Naccarato and her husband Michael P. DiPietro, Melissa M. Rusczek, and Mary M. Naccarato.

She was predeceased by her brother, Dr. Leonard Altieri.
