Obituary: Marek Chodakowski, 62, of Wallingford

Marek was a Lab Assistant at Yale University and was an earnest, hardworking provider dedicated to his family.

Marek Chodakowski, 62, of Wallingford, entered into rest on Monday, November 21, 2016 after a brief and sudden illness and with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Ewa (Tan) Chodakowski. Marek was born on May 12, 1954 in Gniezno, Poland, son of the late Tadeusz and Halina (Ostkiewicz-Rudnicka) Chodakowski.

Marek was a Lab Assistant at Yale University and was also employed with the Legionaries of Christ in Cheshire. He was an earnest, hardworking provider dedicated to his family. Marek loved biking and spending time with his family, he truly was a remarkable husband and father.

In addition to his wife, Ewa, Marek is survived by his daughter, Camila Chodakowski of Wallingford; and his brother, Kryzysztof Chodakowski of Poznan, Poland.

Friends may greet his family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410 on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. His procession will leave the funeral home on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven.
