Obituary: Marie Perrotti Signore, 88, Of Wallingford

Marie worked as a secretary at Masonicare of Wallingford and later as an infant caregiver at Over The Rainbow Childcare Center in Hamden.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Marie Perrotti Signore, 88, of Wallingford, loving wife of the late Stephen A. Signore, passed away May 11, 2023 at Regency House Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Marie was born in New Haven on January 30, 1935, to the late Ralph and Rachel (Tomassi) Perrotti.

Marie worked as a secretary at Masonicare of Wallingford and later as an infant caregiver at Over The Rainbow Childcare Center in Hamden. Her grandkids’ greatest memories were Sundays at Grandma and Grandpa’s house, which included lots of food, family and fun. She enjoyed playing the piano, listening to music, and watching movies.

Marie is survived by her children and their spouses, Debra and Michael Patten of North Haven, Stephen R. and Teresa Signore of Wallingford, Thomas and Diana Signore of Syracuse, NY, Paul and Cheryl Signore of North Haven; her daughter in law, Fran Signore of Wallingford, and her son in law, James H. Cox of Wallingford; her grandchildren, Stephen (Dr. Christine) Signore, Mark (Christy) Signore, Michael (Angela) Patten Jr., Scott (Nicole) Signore, Joseph Signore, Stacie (James) Larer, James (Monika Bialko) Cox, Elisa (Christopher) Cirri, Stephanie (Randy) Peterson, Tricia (Stephen) Libero, Maria (Jeff) Frigo, Cara (Nassim) Signore, Janine (Warren) O’Bannon, Jonathan Signore, Ashley Signore, Jared Signore, Tyler Signore and Kylie Signore; and her 29 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Josephine Perrotti and a large extended family including many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marie was predeceased by her son Anthony P. Signore and daughter Karen Signore Cox; brother Fred Perrotti; sisters Amelia Soldan, Eleanor DeMaio, and Shirley Perrotti.

Marie’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street, Ext. on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Road, at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
