Obituary: Marietta A. McComb, 72, Of Wallingford

She enjoyed going to all of her sons' sporting events and later all of her grandchildren sporting events.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Marietta A. McComb, 72, of Wallingford, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Larry A. McComb for 55 years. She was born in Berlin, CT.

In addition to her husband Larry, she is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Fatima McComb, Tim and Sue McComb; her grandchildren, Ryan McComb and his wife Hanna, Alan McComb, Tyler McComb, Alyssa McComb, Kaylie McComb and Ben McComb; her sisters, Marie-Louise Morin and Annette Akers; her brother, Patrick Andros; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Aline and Irving Raphael, Claire and Kenneth Lemanski, Lea-Anne and Vincent Richard. Her brother Joseph Clyde and wife Janice Andros and sister -in-law Francine Andros; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Lea Andros; her infant sister, Aline Alma Andros; her brothers, Jude Andros and Francis Andros; and her brothers-in-law, Gil Morin and Tom Akers.

Marietta loved her family very, very much. She enjoyed going to all of her sons’ sporting events and later all of her grandchildren sporting events. She loved her dogs Angel and Mocha who have passed and Scooby Doo.

Over the years she made afghans for family and friends and was quite good at it. She was also very good at crocheting. She was very much loved by her family.

Marietta’s family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Monday, May 15, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 7 p.m. A committal service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. John Cemetery, Christian St., Wallingford.
