Obituary: Michael A. Seresin, 63, of Wallingford

Michael Alexander Seresin, 63, of Wallingford, died January 22, 2019, at Smilow Cancer Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 15, 1955, in Bridgeport, the son of George Seresin and Ann (Premak) Seresin, but spent his formative years in Milford, CT. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Lynn; his father; his five siblings, Darlene Seresin, Georgiana Seresin, Yuri Seresin, Kristen Malone, and Kim Seresin; his three sons, Matthew, Patrick, and Daniel; Patrick’s wife, Chelsea, and their two children, Charlie and Juliet; his nephews, Nicholai and Alexei Main, Alexei’s wife, Jessica, and their two daughters, Anya and Ava, and Ian and Casey Malone. Michael is predeceased by his mother.

Michael graduated from Milford High School. Following graduation, he attended the University of Connecticut, where he earned a BS in Chemistry. He was a long-time employee of Bio-Rad Laboratories in Hercules, CA. Michael was a doting grandfather, avid star-gazer, sports enthusiast, and world traveler. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing guitar and attending concerts, golfing, and spending time with family and friends. He loved children and was happy to have the opportunity to coach baseball and basketball for his three sons and nephews.

Michael requested that his life be celebrated privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Michael’s memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
