Obituary: Michael W. Thornton, 65; Formerly Of Wallingford

Michael W. Thornton, 65, of South Park, PA, formerly of Wallingford, CT, died peacefully Tuesday, August 21, 2018. He was the loving husband of the late Beth (Hecklinger) Thornton.

He was born May 3, 1953 and served in the U.S. Navy. He worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for many years. Mike enjoyed many hobbies including IPSC shooting, fishing, camping, photography, and making maple syrup with family. Most of all he enjoyed his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Eric Thornton and his wife Caroline, Lauren Trapuzzano and her husband Ben; his grandchildren Benjamin, Jackson, Ellie Trapuzzano, and Grace Thornton; his brother Donald Thornton and sister Gail Isaacson; and finally his late wife Beth’s brothers and sisters along with their children.

Funeral services for Michael will be private and are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home.
