Miguel C. Garcia, 90, lifelong resident of Wallingford, husband of the late Pilar Garcia, passed away September 21, 2017 at Skyview Health Center

He was born in New York City on November 1, 1926, a son of the late Miguel and Lucia (Cuervo) Garcia.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and served with the Connecticut National Guard.

He worked for Pratt & Whitney as an electronic systems servicer for many years until retiring.

Miguel is survived by his sons, John Garcia and his wife, Linda, of Wallingford and Michael Garcia and his wife, Ann, of Albuquerque, NM; his daughter, Frances Garcia of Meriden; his grandchildren, Elena Mascia and her husband, Brian, Madeline Velasco and her husband , Gustavo, Michelle Garcia, and Rosalind Garcia; his great grandchildren, Lila and Helen Velasco; many nieces and nephews; and extended family in Spain. He was predeceased by his sister, Lucy Garcia; and his brothers, Leonardo Cuerbo and Felix Cuervo

His family would like to thank the staff at Skyview Health Center for the care and compassion they gave to Miguel and his family during his stay there.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. with a service to be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Wallingford.
