Obituary: Muriel R. Passariello, 76, Of Wallingford
Muriel was an active member and volunteer for Holy Trinity Church, and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Wallingford community.
WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Muriel R. Passariello, 76, of Wallingford, loving wife of Louis Passariello, passed peacefully on July 22, 2023, with her husband and sons by her side.
Muriel was born in New Haven on November 7, 1946, the daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth (Norton) Baldwin. A graduate of Hillhouse High School, she went on to work at Yale University where 55 years ago she met Lou and started their life together.
Muriel was an active member and volunteer for Holy Trinity Church where she was a member of the Trinity Ladies Club, Christians In Action, and Hospitality, and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Wallingford community. The friendships she forged were lifelong and she was blessed with loving people in her life. Muriel’s affinity for quilting, knitting, crafting, and baking was well known by her family and friends, and she was both skilled and generous with her gifts.

In addition to her husband, Lou, she is survived by her sons, Louis Passariello III of Wallingford and Nicholas Passariello and his wife, Claire, of Wallingford; her beautiful granddaughters, Audrey and Anna Passariello; her sisters-in-law Marie Carbutti and Josephine Tonelli; her nieces Paula Carbutti, Gina Carbutti, and Lisa McCarthy; her nephew Joseph Tonelli.
She will be greatly missed by all and will surely continue to serve the Lord she loved and the greater good in Heaven.

Muriel’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 pm on Friday, July 28, 2923, at Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
In Lieu of flowers, gifts in Muriel’s memory can be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
