Obituary: Peter E. Fahey, 72, Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From B.C. Bailey Funeral Home): Pete Fahey, beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2023, at Hartford Hospital, at the age of 72. Pete was born on July 25, 1950, in Wilmington, DE, to the late Edward J. and Mary (Wroblewski) Fahey III.

Pete was a dedicated employee of UPS for over 25 years and was a proud member of the Teamsters Union. He had a love for the finer things in life, including clothing, food, cigars, and alcohol. Pete enjoyed spending time at the beach and loved being outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed giving gifts to people.

Pete will always be remembered for his outgoing personality and kind-hearted nature. He brought joy and laughter to those around him and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Pete is survived by his children Erin Reig and her husband Dana of Wallingford, Amy Brackett Fortin and her husband Dave of Florida, Carrie McDowell and her husband Shawn of Virginia, and Travis Fahey and his wife Emily of Wallingford; his sisters: Susan Connoy and Marie Massicott of South Meriden; his sister-in-law Debbie Fahey of Florida; his grandchildren: Rocco, Isabella, Sophia, Nate, Caitlin, Noah, Grace, Sarah and Maverick. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Robert J. Fahey.
