Obituary: Phyllis P. (Woronick) Jacob, 98, of Wallingford
She had been employed as a secretary for the Wallingford VNA until her retirement at 88 years old.

Phyllis P. (Woronick) Jacob, 98, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Monday, March 6, 2017. She was the wife of the late Menhart J. Jacob.
She was born in Bridgeport, CT, May 23, 1918, a daughter of the late Peter and Pauline Kajrys Woronick and had been a long time Wallingford resident. She graduated from Meriden High School and had been employed as a secretary for the Wallingford VNA until her retirement at 88 years old.

Phyllis enjoyed camping, going to the casino, cooking for her family and spending time with her family. She was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice Poirier and her husband Herbert; her grandchildren, Kristen Poirier Macomber and her husband Stephen of Wallingford and Herbert Poirier of North Branford; her great grandchildren, Crystal and Felicia Jones of Wallingford; two great great grandchildren, Isabella Crescenzo and Spencer Diaz; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Anna Faltnoski, Florence McGivern, Virginia Howard and her husband Norman, and Sally Zemke and her husband Edward; her brothers, Charles Woronick, and Thomas Woronick; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her son, Menhart Jacob; her brothers, Walter, Anthony, Edward and Peter Woronick; and her sisters, Rose Clark, Gertrude Molinari, Albina Dreschler, and Margaret Woronick.

Her family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford on Friday, March 10, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
