Obituary: Richard C. Rolan, 76, Of Wallingford
Richard worked for 46 years at Pratt and Whitney as a machinist. He enjoyed reading books and had a wonderful sense of humor.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Richard C. Rolan, 76, of Ashlar Village, passed away September 17, 2022, at Hospital of Central, Connecticut.
Richard was born in Presque Isle, Maine on October 4, 1945, a son of the late Charles and Laura (Gardiner) Rolan.
Richard graduated from East Haven High School and spent most of his life residing in Wallingford and most recently was a resident of Pond Ridge at Masonicare.

Richard worked for 46 years at Pratt and Whitney as a machinist. Richard most enjoyed reading books, watching the news and socializing with his table mates “The Richards” at Pond Ridge.
Prior to Pond Ridge, he could be found at the counter at Brunettis of Colony Diner. He also enjoyed the latest Apple devices, lunches with his cousin, Sally, cruising around town in his Prius and chatting with the staff at Pond Ridge.

Richard had a wonderful sense of humor and will be missed dearly by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The family would like to thank the THOCC CCU team for the care and compassion they provided to Richard during his last weeks of life.
Richard is survived by his brother, Mark and his wife, Mary Beth; his sister-in-law, Maryanne Rolan; nieces Brynn, Rebekah, Katie, Jamie; his nephew, Steven; and several cousins and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Rolan.
Richard’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. A graveside service will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden.
