WALLINGFORD, CT — (Contributed): In Loving Memory of Robert (Bob) Shingler.

Bob was born in New Haven, January 16, 1947. He was a former Wallingford resident before moving to New Port Richey, Florida.

Bob was a beloved husband, and father, who passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Joan Shingler, who stood by his side through thick and thin, sharing in life's joys and challenges. His son, (Robert) Bobby and his husband, Cornelius Chase, mourn the loss of their guiding light and source of endless wisdom. Bob's grandson, Nathaniel Hughes, and his faithful grand-pup, Shipley, will fondly remember (Pops) and the warmth and affection he showered upon them. Bob is also survived by his brother Thomas Shingler, nieces Pam, Cheryl, Stephanie and nephew Brian.

A dedicated family man, Bob's greatest joy was spending time with his loved ones, taking cruises, cracking jokes and creating precious memories that will be treasured for generations to come. His gentle spirit, quick wit, and generous heart endeared him to all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on the lives he touched.
