Obituary: Robert W. Lanci, 85, Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Robert W. Lanci, 85, of Wallingford, loving husband of Beverly Perkowski for 61 years, passed away February 16, 2023 at MidState Medical Center.

Bob was born in New Haven on January 20, 1938, a son of the late Primo and Ellen (Ogden) Lanci.

Bob worked as a machinist for Allegheny Ludlum Steel for many years until retiring. He was a strong Union member, serving as both Vice President and Steward for Steelworkers Local #22-42.

Bob was an avid fisherman and spent countless hours on his boat with his wife and friends. He enjoyed traveling and was partial to Hawaii, where Bob and Bev "wintered" for the past 20 years. Bob was blessed with over 23 years of healthy, active retirement, well spent traveling with his wife, enjoying family and life itself.

In addition to his wife Beverly and his constant companion little Mya, he is survived by his daughters, Deborah A. Jerzyk (Jim Passmore), Cheryl L. Ruiz (Rick Ruiz) and Kim D. Petano (Peter Petano); his sister, Judith Williams; his brother, Daniel Lanci; his grandchildren, Matthew Jerzyk, Stephanie Ruiz, Robert Ruiz, Ryan Ruiz, Britany Jerzyk and Joshua Lanci’ and his great grandchildren, Gavin, Jordan, Noah, Lilliana, Callie, Landon, Robert and Lila. He was predeceased by his youngest daughter Robin A. Lanci and brother David Lanci.
