Obituary: Ronald A. Chuba, 82, Of Wallingford
He was a dedicated parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church, where he served as an usher as well as an active member of the Wallingford Elks.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Ronald A. Chuba, 82, of Wallingford, CT and North Hutchinson Island, FL, passed away suddenly and peacefully at his home on Friday, December 2, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. (Swenberg) of 64 years.
Ron was born in New York City, May 25, 1940, son of the late Peter and Alice (Silverstrean) Chuba and was raised in Wallingford, CT where he lived his entire life until he and Carol started spending winters in Florida. Ronald retired from S.N.E.T. after 35 years of service.
He was a dedicated parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church where he served as an usher as well as an active member of the Wallingford Elks Lodge #1365.

Ron could often be found cheering for his children and grandchildren on and off the field as well as the UCONN Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams and the N.Y. Giants.
He was affectionately called “Poppy” by his family and was a dedicated family man. In addition to his wife Carol, Ron will be deeply missed by his children, Barry Chuba and his wife Laura, David Chuba and his wife Annette, and Lori Parisi and her husband Mark; his grandchildren, Brandon Chuba (Karen), Craig Chuba (Shelley), Nicole Grady (Erik), Danielle Howard (Quenten), Charles “C.J.” Crilly Jr., Alexandra Crilly and Ryan Crilly; his great grandchildren, Owen and Jayden Chuba and Nora Grady; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends, especially his lifelong friend Jack DeNegris. He was predeceased by his brothers, Richard and Gerald Chuba.
