Obituary: Rosamond ‘Roz’ Brennan, 88, Of Wallingford
Roz was instrumental in the groundbreaking of the Church of the Resurrection and an active member of the Ladies Guild.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Rosamond “Roz” Brennan, 88, of Wallingford, wife of the late James Brennan, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 1, 2022 at Hospital of Central Connecticut.
She was born in Middletown CT on August 22, 1934, daughter of the late Frank and Marion Harvey, and was predeceased by brothers Forest and Raymond.
She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1951, and went to work at Pratt and Whitney. She then met and married James Brennan, the love of her life. Together they raised three children, and shared a blessed 65 years together.

Roz was a loving mother and is survived by her three children, Greg and wife, Lisa, Cheryl Dennis and husband, Mark, and Carolyn Lavelle and partner Ed Bobbins; a cherished grandmother to Courtney, Amberly, James, Brigette, Scott, and Ally; great grandmother to Camden, Carsen and Callie, and nephew Michael Brennan; nieces Cindy Fletcher, Patty Muzyka, and the late Kathy Synnott.
Roz was a faithful Christian who was instrumental in the groundbreaking of the Church of the Resurrection and an active member of the Ladies Guild. She provided a warm and loving home, while partnering in their family-owned business, The James E. Brennan Company.

Roz was an avid reader as well as a talented writer of short stories and poetry. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting and needlepoint. She & Jim liked to travel and especially loved vacationing in Cape Cod with their family for many summers. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and chess with Jim. She found peace and serenity most of all in her many years of swimming laps at the YMCA.

Roz’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. (www.wallingfordfh.com) on Friday, Oct. 7, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8, directly at the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford. A Christian burial at Saint John Cemetery in Wallingford will follow.
