Salvatore L. Grignano, 78, of Wallingford, loving husband of Barbara (Rully) Grignano, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Hartford Hospital.
Salvatore was born in New Haven, July 11, 1939, the son of the late Salvatore Grignano and Louise (Iovieno) Grignano and had been a Wallingford resident for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a graduate of Quinnipiac University. Sal had been employed by Valley Container until his retirement and was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church.

Sal loved sports whether watching the N.Y. Yankees, or the Quinnipiac University Men’s Basketball team or playing himself for the Wallingford Silver Bullets, but he was happiest when fishing on Squam Lake in New Hampshire or sharing his many life lessons or words of wisdom with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by his children Susan Lewis and her husband Brian of Madison; Michael Grignano and his wife Margarita of Meriden; his 4 grandchildren Sara and Justin Lewis and Sebastian and Alessandra Grignano; his sister Salvina Montano and her husband Dr. George V. of Orange; his brother-in-law A. Donald Rully and his wife Ann of Westport; and several nieces and nephews.
