Obituary: Salvatore Sandillo, 69, of Wallingford
Sal, a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, worked for the Town of Wallingford Engineering Department as a Construction Inspector.

Salvatore Sandillo, 69, of Wallingford, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at his home. He was the loving husband of Patricia T. (Jasinski) Sandillo.
He was born in New Haven, November 12, 1948, a son of the late John and Ida (Selvaggi) Sandillo Haman and was a lifelong resident of Wallingford. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a Combat Infantry Badge recipient. Sal worked for the Town of Wallingford Engineering Department as a Construction Inspector and was a life member of the Wallingford Rod & Gun Club and the V.F.W. Post 591. Sal was also an avid salt water fisherman.

In addition to his wife Patricia, he is survived by his brother, John “Butch” Sandillo and his wife Lynn; his nephew, Michael Sandillo and his wife Traci; his niece, Wendy Sandillo; his great nephew and nieces, Michael Jr., Taylor, Kailey and Gianna; and his best friends, Antares, Cash and Nick. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Edward Haman and his stepbrother, Spencer “Corky” Haman.
