Obituary: Sandra (Falcigno) Biehn, 79, Of Wallingford

Sandra worked as a dental assistant and secretary for her husband, Dr. John W. Biehn, until his passing.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Sandra (Falcigno) Biehn, 79, of Wallingford, wife of the late Dr. John W. Biehn, passed away peacefully in her sleep September 9, 2022 at Masonicare.

Sandra was born in Meriden on April 16, 1943, a daughter of the late Ralph and Sylvia (Benedetto) Falcigno.

She attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel school before moving to Wallingford as a teenager and graduated from Lyman Hall High School.

Sandra worked as a dental assistant and secretary for her husband until his passing in 1980. From that point on, she put her energy into raising her only son as a single parent and taking care of her mother.

A devout Catholic, Sandra was a lifelong parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church and could be always be seen at Saturday evening or Sunday mass. She enjoyed spending time with her son and family, dining out, coffee, trips to the beach and TV and movies.

Sandra is survived by her son, Joshua Biehn and his partner, Hiro Nakagawa, of Monte Sereno, CA; her niece, Sandra Lynn Meeker and her husband, Craig Lindeman, of Seminole, FL; her nephew, Craig Meeker and his wife, Cyndi, of Bradenton Beach, FL; and her great niece, Rachel Gyurkovic. She was predeceased by her sister, Patricia (Falcigno) Meeker; niece, Pamela Meeker and great niece, Cayla Meeker.

Sandra's family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., on Friday, Sept. 16, 2022 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima church in Wallingford on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022 at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
