Obituary: Scott D. DeFilio, 47, of Wallingford
Scott's greatest passion was watching and coaching his three sons play hockey. He had a love for life and will be missed by all.

Scott Dominick DeFilio, 47, of Wallingford, loving husband of Gina (Vece) DeFilio, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in New Haven on November 12, 1971, a son of Patricia (Barilla) DeFilio of Wallingford and the late Anthony DeFilio. Scott was a graduate of Xavier H.S. Class of ’90 and Fairfield University. He was a Certified Public Accountant and Partner at RSM US LLP and was a member of New Haven Chamber of Commerce and the New Haven Manufacturing Association.

Scott was a coach for the Wallingford Hawks Youth Hockey Association and a member of the Board of the Ronald McDonald House and the Farms Country Club. He enjoyed vacationing with family and friends and was a fan of the Cowboys, Yankees and Bruins. Scott’s greatest passion was watching and coaching his three sons play hockey. He had a love for life and will be missed by all.
In addition to his wife, Gina, he is survived by his children, Anthony, Lorenzo and Marco DeFilio; his brother, Robert DeFilio and his wife Kristy; his sister, Lisa Turano and her husband Jeff; and his nieces and nephews, Shawn Christopher (Meghan), Luke and Max DeFilio, Richie and Brianna Vece, Robert and Sophia Vece, and Cara and Tony Dominello.
