Obituary: Stephen J. Massores, 80, Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Stephen J. Massores, 80, of Wallingford, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022. He was the loving husband of the late Judith A. (Austin) Massores.

Steve was born in Meriden, May 21, 1942, a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Gonczi) Massores and was a lifelong Wallingford resident. He retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and was parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church where he coordinated the Friday night Bingo in the church hall for many years.

He is survived by his daughter, Michele Massores; his brother and sister, Jack Massores and Irma Massores; his brother-in-law, David Austin and his wife Patricia; his sister-in-law, Joanne Stevens and her husband Ronald; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Richard Massores and his parents-in-law, Raymond and Gertrude (Bartel) Austin.

Steve’s family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Friday, Dec. 30, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
