Obituary: Susan J. (Heck) Harrison, 67, Of Wallingford
She dedicated herself to serving her community as a school lunch lady, a Vikings cheerleading coach & was actively involved in youth sports.
WALLINGFORD, CT — (From B.C. Bailey Funeral Home): Susan J. (Heck) Harrison, 67, of Wallingford, departed this life on August 26, 2023. She was the beloved life partner of Raymond Stample Jr. Susan was born on February 21, 1956, in New Haven, CT, to the late John and Barbara (Stickle) Heck.
Throughout her life, Susan made a positive impact on those around her. She dedicated herself to serving her community as a school lunch lady, ensuring that students received nourishment and care each day. Susan's passion for empowering young people extended beyond the cafeteria, as she also served as a dedicated Vikings cheerleading coach and was actively involved in youth sports. Her commitment to uplifting and supporting others was truly remarkable.
Susan is survived by her son, Karl Harrison, and his wife Jessica; her cherished daughter, Katie Harrison; her sister, Maryann (Heck) Perkins, and her husband Bill; her brother, John "Jack" Heck Jr., and his wife Laurie; her adored granddaughter, Alexia Torres, and husband Hector; her granddaughter, Kayla Gambardella; her grandson, Alexander Keehan; her granddaughter, Brianna Keehan; her great-granddaughter, Chanalisse Torres; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Susan's kind and friendly nature will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and compassion. May her memory continue to inspire kindness and love in the hearts of those she touched.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023 at 11 a.m. at In Memoriam Cemetery, 18 Maplewood Ave. Wallingford. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St. Wallingford, CT 06492.
