Obituary: Vincent T. Pellegrino, 92, Of Wallingford
He proudly served as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, and spent nearly 30 years in the Army Reserves, retiring as a Lt. Colonel.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Vincent T. Pellegrino, 92, died November 29, 2022 in Wallingford, CT. He was the beloved husband of Frances (Capes) Pellegrino for more than 68 years.
Vince was born in The Bronx, NY in 1930 and grew up in Livingston Manor, NY. He was the son of the late Vincent J. and Helen (Drahosh) Pellegrino.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister Rosemarie Pellegrino of Bay Shore, NY; four children: Thomas of Wallingford; Ellen of Sewickley, PA; Robert (Elizabeth) of Collegeville, PA; and Sarah (Vincent DiGioia) of Wallingford; grandchildren: Nicholas (Meghan), Hannah and James Pellegrino; nieces and nephews: Helena, Vincent, Nicholas (Donna) and Frank Pellegrino; Michael Capes and Marlene (Robert) Bettin; Lars (Lori), Noel and Thor Ekstrom; Kimberly Stenske, Katherine, Leighanne and Shannon Capes; in-laws: Mary Ekstrom; Nila Capes and Richard Capes.

He was predeceased by his brother Frank Pellegrino of Freeport, NY; brothers-in-law: Michael Ekstrom; George and Edward Capes.

Mr. Pellegrino earned a BS in Finance from Siena College, Loudonville, NY. He began his career with CIT Finance in New York City and later retired after many years with the Connecticut Development Authority, Rocky Hill, CT.
He volunteered with Boy Scouts Troop 12 for several years.
Vince was an avid military history buff and antique car enthusiast. He lovingly kept the first new car he ever bought, a 1954 Oldsmobile 88 “in original, unrestored condition” throughout his life and enjoyed many driving trips and car shows.
