Obituary: William P. Carr Jr.; Formerly Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): William P. Carr Jr. of Moerfelden, Germany passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

He was the eldest son of the late Margaret E. and William P. Carr of Wallingford. He was the beloved husband of Ellen Geiss Carr.

He leaves a son Uwe (Marina) Carr of Germany and daughter Sally (Hubert) Stanschek, also of Germany, grandchildren Tony and Isabel Carr, and Daniel and André Stanschek.

Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force upon graduating from Lyman Hall High School. His varied career path led him to numerous corners of the globe. Upon retiring, he represented Wrightline Corporation of Worcester, Massachusetts to United States military bases throughout Europe.

Bill and Ellen were a delightful host and hostess to his brothers and sisters and friends traveling in Europe.

He leaves a sister, Eleanor Carr Corazzini of Wallingford and a brother, Richard Carr, also of Wallingford, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family members.

He was predeceased by a sister Sarah Carr Lane and brothers Ernest Carr, John Carr, and Robert Carr.

Burial will take place in Moerfelden, Germany.
