Obituary: William A. Sprouse Jr., 56, Of Wallingford
A standout athlete at Lyman Hall, Bill worked for the family business, Bee Mac Construction, for 38 years and had a love for construction.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of William Arthur Sprouse Jr., of Wallingford, Connecticut on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023. Born in Meriden, Connecticut on Jan. 5, 1967, he was the beloved son of William Sprouse Sr. and the late Maria (Inguaggiato) Sprouse. Bill was 56 years old.
Bill graduated from Lyman Hall High School, class of 1985. Taking after his late grandfather Charles “Inky” Inguaggiato, he excelled in athletics, playing multiple positions as a member of the Varsity football team.
Bill’s loved ones will cherish their many memories of time spent together. It didn’t matter if he just met you, or if he had known you for his entire life, Bill left a lasting impression on the lives of everyone he met.

With an ever-present sense of humor, he had a way of making people laugh in the toughest of times. Throughout his life he loved working on stock cars, extreme gardening, fishing and boating. Bill had an appreciation for unique cuisines and often experimented with his own recipes.
One of his favorite traditions was to go to The Nordic Lodge in Charlestown, Rhode Island every year with his son Trever to enjoy all-you-can-eat lobster. He also was involved in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program, volunteering his time and sharing his overall good nature to help and socialize with those in need.

Bill worked for the family business, Bee Mac Construction, for 38 years. He had a love for construction and working with heavy machinery, which came so naturally to him. He had an innate ability to identify, solve, strategize and complete complex construction projects. His love and passion for the job inspired his coworkers, creating many long-lasting working relationships.
Bill was a skilled, self-taught mechanic. Through on-the-job training, he could run, fix, diagnose and repair just about any piece of equipment. He was a do-it-yourself kind of guy and could be counted on for plumbing, electrical work, masonry, sanding, painting and fixing just about anything.
Bill is survived by his son Trever Sprouse and his wife Abby, his grandson Trever Sprouse Jr., his father William Sprouse Sr., his sister Sharon Drossopoulos and her husband Eddy and his Auntie Judy Inguaggiato. In addition, his niece Arianna Banack and husband James, nephew Dimitri Drossopoulos and wife Abrenna. He also leaves behind his special friend of 20 years, Sue Mandy and his beloved dog Lily.
Bill’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Monday, Feb. 20 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. directly at Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Rd., Wallingford. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery.
In lieu of/addition to flowers, gifts in Bill’s memory will be used to set up an education fund for his grandson. Donations may be made to Trever Sprouse, 347 Hanover Street, Meriden, CT 06451.
