Obituary: Willie J. Prioleau Sr., 86, Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Meriden Funeral Home): Willie J. Prioleau Sr., 86, of Wallingford, loving husband of Donna M. (Anderson) Prioleau, passed away peacefully, Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.

Willie was born in Columbia, S. Carolina, July 19, 1936, a son of the late John H. Prioleau and Julia Mae Davis. He was employed by Rex Forge/J.J. Ryan Corp. for over 25 years until his retirement. Willie enjoyed visiting his local Dunkin Donuts and the Meriden Senior Center.

In addition to his wife Donna, he is survived by four children Elizabeth Maniero, Josephine Anderson, Willie Prioleau Jr., and Vincent Prioleau; his grandchildren Jacob A. Anderson, Isaac E. Maniero, Alexis C. Zanetti, Elijah A. Maniero, Lorenzo S. White Jr., Nathan J. Prioleau, Jaylynn Turney, Paul Prioleau; his great grandchild Luna Gonzalez; his sister Rev. Margaret Davis Hodges; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Juana Gonzalez, Sonia Rivera, Denise Gryzbek; Floyd Anderson, Ovidio Gryzbek, Robert Anderson; his Godchildren Ovidio Chaparro, Christine Gryzbek; many nieces; nephews; and friends including his best friend, Paul Toney. He was predeceased by his siblings Junie Mae Davis, Jesse Davis, Herbert L. Prioleau; his brother-in-law Rev. Robert E. Hodges; and his sister-in-law Patricia Anderson.
