Officer-Involved Shooting Investigated In Wallingford: Police

WALLINGFORD, CT — An officer-involved shooting is being investigated in Wallingford, according to police.

The shooting took place in the 100 block of North Airline Road around 2:50 a.m. on Monday, according to Lt. Stephen Jaques.

Jaques said the Office of the Inspector General, the New Haven State’s Attorney’s Office, and the Connecticut State Police Major Crime Division-Eastern District are investigating the shooting.

North Airline Road will be closed from No. 100 through its intersection with Pauline Court until further notice, according to Jaques.

“This incident is under active investigation and no other information is available at this time,” Jaques wrote in a news release.

UPDATE: North Airline Road was reopened as of 5 p.m., according to police.
