Officials Hope Domino's, Subway Can Boost Sagging Cafeteria Sales at Wallingford High Schools
Offerings from Domino's and Subway are coming to Lyman Hall and Sheehan as part of a pilot program.

Domino’s pizza and sandwiches from Subway could become regular items on the lunch menu at Lyman Hall and Sheehan high schools if a pilot program proves successful.
The Meriden Record-Journal reports the program will run for a few weeks near the end of the school year and officials are hoping Domino’s and Subway can help provide a boost to sagging cafeteria sales.
While the school lunch program was self-sufficient for 20 years, the Board of Education began providing a subsidy this year and officials told the Record-Journal that they are anticipating the cafeteria account’s fund balance will be completely depleted by the end of the next school year.

Officials will analyze the results of the pilot program, which will launch once the district confirms the offerings meet the mandated nutritional standards, to determine if it will become a regular feature next year, according to the Record-Journal.
