Poetry Series at Wallingford Library
WPL will host poet Kate Rushin for a three part series throughout March that will include a poetry reading and a poetry workshop.

Wallingford Public Library is presenting a three-part poetry series with Kate Rushin beginning March 2 at 6:00 p.m. Ms. Rushin will present a poetry reading “Camden Sweet/Lawnside Blues: Home, History & Hope;” poems that give homage to the African-American traditions of art, music, spirituality and inspiration. The public is invited and refreshments will be served.
Ms. Rushin will be back to lead two poetry workshops March 16 and 30 at 6:00 p.m. Participants will be provided with model poems and writing prompts to inspire them to explore the themes of home, family, history, and place. New and experienced writers will expand their creativity and their knowledge of poetry forms in an encouraging, interactive setting. Advance registration is appreciated.
