Former Wrestler Might Challenge Longtime Wallingford Mayor
A 32-year-old political newcomer is considering a run against Republican William W. Dickinson Jr., who has served as mayor since 1983.

A 32-year-old Wallingford resident with experience in the wrestling ring is looking to enter the political ring and challenge Mayor William W. Dickinson Jr., who has been mayor for the past 32 years, in the November election, the Meriden Record-Journal reports.
Michael Citak, a former professional wrestler with experience in business and painting and currently works at Tuxis-Ohr’s Fuel and Oil in Meriden, told the Record-Journal he is “99 percent certain” he wants to run and will seek the Democratic Town Committee’s endorsement.
It was recently believed that Dickinson could run unopposed because no one had stepped forward to challenge him.
