The Price is Right for Wallingford Man
Wallingford's Tyler Salomon wins on his favorite game show, no joke.
Wallingford’s Tyler Salomon, a lifelong fan of the Price is Right, was a winning contestant on Wednesday’s show and it was no joke.
Salomon, 22, a 2011 Sheehan graduate, attended a taping of the show in Los Angeles while on spring break in March and told Luther Turmelle of the New Haven Register that it was his “dream to be selected” as a contestant on the show.
After he was called to “Come on Down,” Salomon came away with a 3-D television, an exercise bike and a collection of Kate Spade handbags and accessories.

Salomon told Turmelle he wasn’t allowed to tell anyone, even his parents, that he had been a contestant on the show before it aired. So, when he finally called his mother on Wednesday (April 1) and told her that he was a winner on the Price is Right… “she thought it was an April Fool’s joke.”
