Principal Named Assistant Superintendent In Wallingford
The Wallingford Board of Education unanimously approved the appointment.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Pond Hill Elementary School Principal Danielle Bellizzi will be the school district’s next Assistant Superintendent for Personnel following a unanimous vote of the Wallingford Board of Education, according to Superintendent of Schools Dr. Salvatore Menzo. Bellizzi will replace Cindy Lavalette, who is retiring after 33 years with the Wallingford school district.
Menzo said Bellizzi, who has been principal of Pond Hill School since 2014, was selected following a “rigorous interview process from an excellent pool of candidates.”
“Danielle stood out amongst the candidate pool due to her excellent ability to cultivate relationships with all constituents, her depth of knowledge, and her understanding of issues related to personnel,” Menzo said in an email to parents.
