Racers to Conquer Mud, Fire and Water in 2017 Gaylord Gauntlet 5K Trail and Obstacle Run

4th Annual Gauntlet Raises Money for Gaylord Sports Association

The Fourth Annual Gaylord Gauntlet 5K on June 24, 2017 is not for the faint-of-heart—or those who like to keep their running shoes clean. Throughout the 3.3-mile course held entirely on the campus of Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford, CT, the Gauntlet offers both wooded trail and open field running with more than 20 natural and man-made obstacles along the way to test an athlete’s strength and endurance.

Held rain or shine, the race will feature 20 waves of runners and is appropriate for those aged 12 and older. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. with the initial wave launching at 8:00 a.m. and the final wave launching at 2:00 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories and costumes are highly encouraged! A festival area will feature live music and food and beverages will be available for purchase from on-site food trucks.
