Road Closure Announced For Block Party In Wallingford: Police
Police are advising residents of road closures and parking bans that will be in effect for a block party Thursday in Wallingford.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Police are advising residents of road closures and parking bans that will be in effect for a block party Thursday in Wallingford.
Wallingford Center Inc. (WCI) and the Town of Wallingford will be hosting a block party on North Main Street and Simpson Court from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22.
The following road closures and parking prohibitions will be in effect on Thursday, Aug. 22 for the block party:

- North Main Street between its intersection with Center Street and Church Street will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic starting at 5 p.m. Parking will be prohibited on North Main Street starting at 4:30 p.m.
- Simpson Court will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic and parking will be prohibited starting at 4:30 p.m.
- North Main Street and Simpson Court will be opened upon conclusion of the event, which is expected to be at approximately 9:30 p.m.
“Parking restrictions will be clearly posted in advance,” police wrote in a news release. “Please be reminded, vehicles parked in violation of the parking restrictions will be issued a parking ticket by police and be subject to tow.”
