Road Closure Announced For Halloween Night In Wallingford

Wallingford Police announce a road closure that will be in effect on Halloween night for the safety of trick-or-treaters.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Due to a public safety concern related to Halloween pedestrian traffic, Wallingford Police announce a road closure that will be in effect during trick-or-treat hours.

North Main Street will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic north of its intersection with North Street and south of its intersection with Cedar Street, North Main Street Extension and Maplewood Avenue, from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Oct. 31.

Police are also asking all residents to be “vigilant, stay on the sidewalks and out of the streets, use a flashlight and consider having on some type of reflective material for visibility.”

The Community Police Division will also be present and handing out treats to the kids.
