WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford police have announced a road closure and parking prohibitions that will be in effect on Friday, Oct. 22 due to a Halloween Parade and Celebration hosted by the Town of Wallingford Public Celebrations Committee and Parks and Recreation Department.

Road Closure:

South Main Street, between the intersection of Center Street and Prince Street will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic on Friday, Oct. 22 starting at 4 p.m.

Parking Prohibitions:

There will be no parking on South Main Street between Center Street and Prince Street on Friday, Oct. 22 starting at 3 p.m. Motorists are reminded that vehicles parked in violation of this prohibition will be subject to the issuance of a parking ticket by police and removal by tow truck.

Closure Next Week:

On Sunday, Oct. 31, North Main Street WILL BE closed from the intersection of High Street to Cedar Lane for the safety of the large volume of pedestrians anticipated on Halloween night. More information regarding the closure will be announced next week, police said.
